Hey i went to basspro this weekend and got a new reel. I got a Quantum Code CD860CXB baitcaster. Its a smoke black color. I was just wondering if anybody has one or has any reviews on it. It going to be my reel mainly for bass so I thought i would share.

Any pics?

You may of wanted to search the reviews first (-; 2 years ago a few people were trying to influence me to buy a 160.00 Revo...I have the 109.00 model and I rushed out to Walmart and bought the beautiful black Revo Sp model...I should have checked Cabelas reviews first because I hated the reel...it was backlash city..I checked the reviews and they all said the same thing...I quickly took off my line and returned it to Walmart...

Summary..I learned to read the reviews first. Especially on bait casters.i do hope yours serves you well. Let us know how it cast..distance, backlash..and drag under a fish

Well partner I hope you love it....if you don't you can always use it as a pitching / flipping reel...I have 2 I bought for 150.00 each..at first they were wonderful.and then the casting distance went to pot..However, they both made awesome flipping reels, they are both filled with braid..one a worm one a jig...

I do wish you the best...normally Quantum makes real good reels

Codes are bottom line casting reels made by Quantum. I have also heard poor reviews from them, although it should serve its purpose if it doesn't take too much abuse.

Hopefully it works out great for you. Many expensive reels are junk and many cheaper reels are quality. It just depends and you will never know until you use it. Good luck with it and hopefully it serves you well.

Amen Gangly,
my second favorite casting baitcaster that I have can sometimes be found on ebay NEW IN BOX for 50.00 and it's made by Quantum..I love that reel. They usually last about 5 years..They are the 1310 MG model.

Oops..just looked..they are no where to be found.
