After reading Phil's post..I'd like to remind you northern folks that there is a smallmouth contest as well. We don't even have these down here so this is where you northerners can shine. Watch out for MTHands though..his AL lake does have the green backs.

So..don't throw in the towel if we southern boys start posting big stringers of largemouth..the same prize is for the smallmouth winner as well.AND remember Buckhunter 14 out did me in largemouth weight last year..there are hawgs up there..just not as many.

Really hoping during the months of May and June I can get up into some prime Small Jaws waters. Smallmouth have a certain spunk that you just can't get out of Largemouth.

I have 1 more week of work and then a vacation coming up for some last minute ice fishing.. I may try a day for the bass and see if I can bring up a decent one to start the tourney off with..
