My advice { After an expensive return item policy} go to the store and try thme out..Don't buy a rod without handling it..Alot of people pump up certain brands in which I have handled and thought they stunk..so you try them out..If you want a decent rod in that price range I'd try out an All Star rod..they are build like the best but much cheaper..about 80.00

Personally I like good ole Walmart's Team Diawa, Lightning Rods and Ugly Sticks and the newer Garcia's

For bass I prefer a strong yet light rod..
MH for plastics

Medium for cranks and spinnerbaits.

Check out Castaway CTX rods at Academy. They are about 50 bux and are FANTASTIC rods. They have held up better than my more expensive rods, and have the same sensitivity to bass as any rod that I have ever had. If they break, take them back, though i have yet to have one break on me, even after stepping on them with 280lbs of weight
