Pictures From Where You Fish

How about showing off, where you catch your fish.
You don't have to reveal, the secret spots, but it would be nice to see what all the fishing spots all over the world look like.

Thank You.

jrbsr 12-14-2010 07:21 AM

How much did it weigh, and how long was it?
Did you put it back in, to grow bigger lol ?

Thats a nice Bass, what did it bite on?

deetown69 12-26-2010 09:36 PM

she was post spawn and must have had the munchies because she hit one of those BIG flukes made for stripers, and had half of a big bluegill sticking out of her throat. she was around 26 inches long, and i gave her an approx. weight at maybe 9 to 9 1/4 lbs, and she was released after the pictures were taken. heck....after i turned her back i watched her crash fish for 2 more hours.

deetown69 12-26-2010 09:46 PM

a big ol good one

here are a few more catch and release candidates from different fishing trips last summer of 2009.pictured are some nice shoal bass , a largemouth bass or two, and the ever abundant flathead catfish specimen.out of 50 trips to this fishery i have only seen people no more than three different times. always some awesome action to say the least.

this is the biggest jack I've caught. 14 lbs. first fish I've held to take a pic of. too bad I didn't hold it right. others are pics of where we usually fish, unfortunately for the last few years, fishing has been crappy there. doesn't stop us from going out each year to try.

The last pic. is of some elk, way off in the distance. it was hard to get a good steady shot.

Chuck7 01-28-2011 01:54 PM

Nice pics maam...nice jack too.{ -; bet he fought like a freight train..they are seroius fighters.

buckhunter14 01-28-2011 04:57 PM

I have a heck of a time believing that the Pike, or (jack?), is fourteen pounds. I've caught many and I've gottwo on the wall, both well over 40 inches, and the barely pushed 15 pounds.

Shrapnal 01-28-2011 06:09 PM

well, buckhunter, unless our scale was out, that's what it said. It was a heavy fish. Maybe your pike (yes, jack) are long and skinny where you are.

Chuck, I wish I would of played him more, but it was kind of a windy day and I was worried that I hadn't hooked him very well, so, I just tried to get him in the boat as quickly as possible, which he didn't make easy. once he was in the boat, we realized that he wasn't going anywhere. that hook was in there good.

Interesting. How long was it?

This is a 42" 15 pound Northern from winter.

and a 43.5" 14 pounder from after spring spawn.

Shrapnal 01-28-2011 06:25 PM

I'm not sure how long it was, all we did was weigh it. I'm usually just out there to have fun and relax. don't really care about competition.

Never said anything about competition. I just like to learn as much about fish as possible, and to me part of that is length and weight of a fish.

I apologize for using the word competition. when you disputed the weight of my fish, I sensed animosity.

I love to fish, just getting out on the boat, or fishing off shore. even if they aren't biting. spotting the wildlife coming down to the water is always a treat. One time we had a spotted a moose in the water, it was coming straight for us. We didn't let it get too close before we decided to move.

Posting a pic of an attempted bear den along the trail we used to use to launch the boat. It's been there for years. Doesnt' look like it was ever really used. There is lots of evidence of bears being around there. recently the beavers made a mess of our trail. grrrrrr :s6: gonna have to start trapping. lol

buckhunter14 01-29-2011 12:33 PM

Trapping is a fun hobby... Never mess with a bear in a den :D !!
