Good Weekend
#1
Went out last night and caught 2 bass, a 1.5 and a 3 lb'er. Spent the rest of the night trying to tie hooks in the dark and untangling line created by my guest. Was a nice relaxing night though, sat out in the jon boat, watched the stars, and wound up catching 2 good fish in an hour. Hope everybody elses weekend was nice.
Best of luck fishing guys!

First one at dusk, second one right before complete darkness, and my friends about 15 minutes after complete darkness. However, thats the first time I have ever fished that lake/pond in the evening. All my other fishing has been done between 12:00 and 1:30 in the afternoon depending on the day. Last week was awesome during the day.
All three fish that were caught were not hugged up on the bank like usual, but a little bit out into the open and caught on the retrieve which is strange for me. In the afternoons, the fish are caught right against the banks, quite literally between .5'-3' feet of the weeds, but this evening, all three fish (one caught by friend) were caught atleast 10-15 feet off the bank. My friends was caught on a faulty cast pretty close to the boat, within a second of the frog hitting the water. I rarely see them caught that close to the boat in open water, maybe the fish was tailing the previous cast which brought him out into the open where the faulty cast landed next?
I switched hooks and attachment method, and I'm now at 5 for 5 on hookups and landing them in the boat. I rig them a special way, and I am VERY happy with the results.

I need to do some evening fishing....up to now..I've done ZERO evening fishing..One reason is that the area I fish gets visited heavily by gangs in the evening..I try to advoid trouble at all cost..it aint worth it..

i hear you, safety is number one when Im in an area I dont know well.
It was a slightly toubling walking through a quarter to half mile of woods in the dead of night with no flash light, haha. Especially considering I've shot some 250+ lb boars in those very same woods. Good news though, I wont be forgetting a flashlight again, haha
