Hey seahonk. I can understand why people don't want to try carp they are ugly. That's obvious. But smell I don't know about smell, maybe u should stop fishing by sewage dump sites thats where the smell is coming from. In Europe the carp is a fish loved by all angler. They all want to catch them. In Europe carp actually taste good. When they imported carp to the US a long time ago, the carp lost there good taste, I don't know why this is. I don't want to get into an arguement so CARP WIN Yippee!!!<img src=icon_smile_big.gif border=0 align=middle>

I used to refuse to eat eelpout (burbot) but I was tricked into eating it once and now I eat it every chance I get. Carp or suckers are great smoked but the one fish I would have to say turns my belly inside out is LUTEFISK!!!

well gun4hire35 dont fish by sewage dumps , the carp i cought was on lake havasu arizona , no sewage plants there and as for the smell get your nose checked <img src=icon_smile_big.gif border=0 align=middle> lol ok sea yas
