Could of been alot of different things..
SOme monsters here that I've caught that I thought were 10 pound bass or more turned out to be....
A. once a 5 pound striper...awesome fight
B. a 15 pound blue cat on a shiner..
c. a 13 pound blue cat on a Rooster tail..
and best one yet..last year I hooked a monster something with my Rooster Tail..
Matt was a sleep in the boat..the bite was boring that day.[8D]I screamed "Matt , wake up!" as the fish pulled nearly all my line off..I was worried thatall my 10 pound Trilene was all goingto come off.After about 15 minutes of serious pulling the fish was hung up ..it appeared.I drove the boat about 75 yds and had my line tight now..about 8 feet straight down over the fish..I looked at my depth finder.[:-][:-][X(]OH MY! ..About a 10 foot gator was straight down.[&o]I quickly cut the line and drove off. Great fight though..

Got this 6 pounder today.{ June 21st, 2008}.just missed the 25 inch mark..
and a 3 pounder I got last week on Rooster Tail ..18 1/2 inches

Hey ,

I am glad the little fellow had some fun for his efforts!! That sure is a good thing your doing trying to help straighten the young ones out..
Also congrats on your 6 pounder I haven't been out much yet, a very busy work schedule and not much time off..[:@]We had a guy go out with cancer again, it's his second time around with that stuff.It doesn't look very good for him, and he is about 4 years younger than myself. Cut backs at work and all have left us very short handed. They will not hire anyone to help us so you can imagine what the heck we are going through. I am glad I still have a job tho with the way things have been going. They will be training me this summer on my normal days offon the top job here if manpower can allow.I will be starting my vacation this Monday so I am planning on trying to get a couple of days out there..

Yes sir..I had his picture on my screen saver at school..The other kids wished they could have gone too..He was one happy camper..

Nice fish guys...
I haven't been bass fishing much at all this year. I have been taking my little girl out alot. She has gotten a few small ones. This is the only decent fish I have caught this year. Got him on a Johson silver minnow in a hole off of the river.

In New Hampshire a big Bass is over 5 lbs.... A 7-8 pounder is a monster.
