Fish Finder Question
#1
Hi guys,
My grandfather decided to pick this ol Fish Finder up off the curb while down in Florida. It seriously looks like some ancient technology!
It's a Sitrex Honda HE 356A. To be honest I'm not even sure if it works, but I plan on finding out this weekend. The problem is, that there is no transducer or 12v power plug with it. It has the connections on the back of the unit for it, but he didn't see (he claims
) any of the related equipment needed to make it work. So my question is: where the heck do I find what I need? I already tried ebay and the good ol google search, but haven't found any listings that are current - only archived listings. Here are some pics to possibly spur some memory or something...

And if nothing else, I'm going to strip it down and use some of the different pieces in car audio installs (another of my hobbies)

, paper was costly[:@], and it would break stylus/belts pretty regular (also costly)[:@]. wish i could help with power and transducer info, but i'd bet it would be easier to find old ray jefferson stuff, and that ain easy[:-][&o]
good luck
try sending these guys an email, seeing how they are a florida company that may be why it "showed-up" there[&:]

Ya I was planning shooting them an email after I test to see if even works. There looked to be a little bit of water damage to the paper roll, but everything else looked pretty good and there doesn't appear to be any electrical problems I've seen yet. So we'll see. Thanks the reply.

Austin, tell your granddaddy to take that thing right back where he found it or you'll slapp him.

. He has 2 model T's - one car, one truck and an old 34 Ford Coupe as well that are all in mostly in pieces. He's said that he'll fix 'em for years. I think I'll inherit a 34 Ford coupe body, and parts with some assembly required
. He's been doing this for years and I don't think he'll ever stop. I don't know what all he's picked up at garage sales the last few weeks, but there is a couple boxes of junk in the back of the van last time I looked. I figure it keeps him outside, active, and makes him happy.
