Once when I was flipping out a shoreline...the wind kicked up ..I was poor then and only had a17pound thrust Minn Kota ..it was powerless against the gust which came up..The wind was blowing me under a willow tree..and honestly 3 snakes came dangling out of the tree ..their tails wrapped around the branches..The wind was blowing me right into the snakes..it looked like a scene from Inidana Jones as I began swinging my paddle hitting snakes into the water..[X(][&o]

all i can do is laugh, several years ago me and the misses were fishing a couples tournament and i had just hooked and lost about a 4# fish that would have really helped[:@][:-][&o], then i see a snake on a matted bed of hydrilla, flip a jig over there and the snake strikes and,,, well lets just say he would not let go, the wife ask "well, what are you gonna do now???" to which i reply "open the live well", apparently that was not the right answer[:-][&o]

i haven't seen that fish or that jig in two years[:-][:@]

chuck--several years ago, Buddy W. and I were fishing on one side of the creek, and watching another angler fish the opposite side. he yells, jumps up on the front deck, and grabs hispistol from his tackle box. he shoots 6 times at a snake that had fallen into the boat from an overhead limb. we went over and helped him get the boat out of the water. he was trying to figure how to get the boat back to the ramp, and i had to play the redneck. i took some button willow limbs, sharpened the ends, and drove them into the holes he made in the bottom of his aluminum boat. he still took in some water, but was able to make it back. now that's being SCARED of a snake!

Oh my Bill,
That is crazy..Most snakes are simply water snakes that would love to exit the boat anyway..Once when fishing off sure I saw my tackle box moving..it was a snake that had crawled up under the box..[:-]
