Phil,

Talking about those lakes up there has really got me concerned. We've had tons of rain around here. Tomorrow the rain is supposed to go. I think I'll run to Walmart right now and get a boat light to fish at night...Bass double in size at night.I just hope the picture turns out good. By the way...what's the prize for the winner of this tourmament...A new St. Croix rod

There is no prize ..that is a joke..I'm not kidding about night fishing. Some of the ole timer bass pros only fish at night when fishing for hawgs. I've gone a couple of times..It's a trip. YOu cast your rubber worm ...hoping you dont get a backlash because you can't see. As you bump the worm it is totally feel. I barely hold the rod and let the bass pull th erod a little bit than POW! set the hook. They are bigger at night and if you find them...they bite better as well. The only problem..our gators come out at night and they are not bashful. Every lake in Florida as gators unless they have been removed. Last year a man had his arm totally bit off. ..from the shoulder..So when I speak of night fishing..I'm talking about 1 hour past dusk.

Nope they are river perch heading up to the lakes as warm and low water is driving them up..Then once they get up there baitfish will swim downstream and back they will be coming again..
Nice fish Chuck, you are swamping me..I will be heading out in the morning to that lake I was talking about. They say that it is infested with those Large mouths so it should be a good trip....
