Hey folks, I was just wondering if anyone makes their own baits or has ever attempted to make their own baits. I have just recently began messing around with pouring my own plastics. I haven't yet bought any plastic in bulk I have just been doing repours (melting down old or used plastics). So far it has been alot of fun. I have purchased a mold and made a few of my own out of Plaster of paris. I went out to our farm pond this weekend and ended up catching a few bass on the frogs that I made. I haven't yet fished with the dragonfly, I am looking forward to trying it out. Here is a picture of some of my pours so far.
Should use fruit rollups. That way you can allways have a snack to eat also..

How do you melt and pour the plastics? Kona why haven't you shown the spinner?
When we melted them, we put the old plastics in a tuna can, and used a propane torch underneath (oh yeah, high-tech set-up ) Not sure what spinner you're talking about Mallard

I really haven't had a chance to give it a shot yet. I have thrown it a few times, however, not enough to give it a fair chance.

I bought the mold for the dragonfly off of ebay. And I made the molds for the frog and the lizard out of plaster of paris.

I melt the plastic in the microwave and pour them using a 8 oz. measuring glass.
