Default Your Favorite Rig

Ok so seeing a couple of posts about different set-ups and riggings im just wondering what everyones favortie rig or set-up is for different types of fishing.

Mine are:
Trolling(Walleye,Pike)-Bottom Bouncer with a Chartreuse Walleye Rig
Trolling(Trout)-Willow Leaf with a nice piece of worm
Spin Casting(Trout)-a panther martin attached to a swivel.
Spin Casting(Walleye,Pike)-Rapala attached to a 8 inch titanium leader
Fly fishing all- my go to flies are the catatonic leech and evil weevil but will switch to a large streamer with large eyes for the pike.

Hey ..there's a tournament going on here..I'll share mine after it's over.

Here's a little bit of advice.
Bass.... fish with confidence...cover the area slowly..don't be in a hurry.

it all depends on the type of water im fishing -

open structure its a carolina rig with either a zoom brush hog, or floating lizard
deep cover i throw either a texas rig mega worm or a big jig
shallow cover i throw a texas rig big worm with a light sinker or a finesse jig
topwater i pretty much only throw a buzzbait, pop-r, or spook
grass is usually a wacky rig senko, rattle trap, or pitch a heavy worm into the mats

Smallmouths in 25 feet of water or less....1/16 or 1/8 oz. hair jig ( brown or black) fished on 4 or6 lb. test and UL spin tackle..

Smallmouths in 25 feet of water or deeper...3-4 " shiner or hellgramite Lindy rigged...

Large trout in streams...Nightcrawlers fished on UL spinning gear with 6 lb. test and #6 baitholder...Small split shot as few as necessary to keep the bait tumbling along the bottom...

General stream trout fishing...5 weight fly rod with floating line and either weighted nymphs/strike indicator OR dry flies if there is surface activity...

Walleyes/lakes...1/8 or 1/4 oz hair jig tipped with half a crawler or a small minnow lip hooked...

Walleyes/rivers...# 13 Rapala or similar large stickbait fished on spinning tackle and 10 lb. test..Tie line directly to plug...

Lake trout...Medium /light spinning rod with low stretch line...1 oz. silver diamond jig...Vertical jig in 60 to 150 FOW...Absolutely deadly...

Steelhead in streams...5 weight fly rod, eggs patterns, nymphs or wooley buggers fished weighted w/strike indicator and floating line..

Brown trout/landlocks in lakes...UL spin gear . 4-6 lb. test, 1/16 to 1/8 oz. LIGHT colored hair jigs ( usually natural white bucktail)....

Northerns...Black 3/8 oz bucktail jig with 4" black ripple rind trailer, fished with a short 30 lb. test shock leader on medium/light spin gear and 10 lb. test line...Cast near outside weed edges and swim jig back along the bottom..

Yellow perch...Same as smallmouths..

Bluegills... 1/32 or 1/64 oz. jig tipped with a mealworm...In shallow water fish under a small bobber, in deeper water drift near bottom with UL spin gear...

Bullheads/catfish... Bell sinker tied to end of line...1 or 2 snelled # 2 hooks fished as droppers off the main line baited with nitecrawlers...

Carp...Canned whole kernel corn on a #6 or # 8 baitholder fished dead on the bottom with just enough split shot to keep it there in the current..

Shallow (20 feet or less)water- small mouths I like twister tails, senkos, top water like Pop Rand small crank baits.

Deep water smallies I like carolina rigs or drop shots.

Largemouth I love to fish spinner baits around the weeds and buzz baits.
Rubber worms texas style is another favorite way I fish.

Northern Pike is mostly large crank baits.

I don't try for lake trout or salmon much anymore but I used to use spoons fished deep behind a downrigger.

Panfish in summer is usually small jigs, or tubes fished under a bobber.
