Try the Scum Frog in the thickest slop/scum you can throw.Better use 12-14lb test.Caught the most and biggest bass off the scum frog in late spring.
Plastic Salamander works very well in any state I've ever fished. A Bass worst enemy in the spring next to probably a Blue Gill.

That depends on the water temperture, time of day, angle of the sun and over cast. I recieved a few Soft Worms today from Bass Pro. (Post: Brown Truck Came Today) and I thought I would give the Yamamoto "Kreature" #213 a try. Well wasn't their 15 mins and caught this one,

move your bait slow and make them look injured also for increased catches
