That's a tough one but I'll say river.

Falling out of the boat and drowning or getting stabbed by a marlin and dying....... you can't say neither.

i picked lake, but all/most of the lakes i fish are river systems and the bite is useally better with a little current

cold weather or dead of summer

i don't dish for marlins, and i have been in the drink a few times, once in febuary, in 12' of water but my bill fold didn't even get wet[:-], luckily the guy i was with is 6' 300# and strong as an ox, he drug me back into the boat, but that was only right as he is the one that put me in, the water was a refreshing 40 degrees[:-]

BTW, if your ever by yourself and you end up in the water in the winter go to the back of the boat and use the motor to climb back in, you would be amazed at how quick that cold water will zap your strenght

I presume you mean for bass...

If you mean for bass fishing I 'll sa summer..
however. you all know I 'm a crappie man all the way so winter is my favorite..but summer for bass OKaaay
