found ice, no fish ?was walking on water and it felt good about 2 to 2.5 inch of ice other end was wide open

We've got 8-10" most everywhere now... Last weekend we were out on 4.5" or so.. Last week was very cold and produced alot of ice..
Caught a ton of perch both days out... One nice Rainbow yesterday. 15".
