Default Who has ice?

I live just outside Chicago and am thinking about taking a road trip north. I don't care what lake as long as it is frozen. And I don't really want to go further then I have to. What is the southern most Wisconsin lake that is still solid?

I went out and tried it up here today and was cutting 4-5 inches
just a short way from shore. Only had one flag on a 2 tip-up limit for the water I was on. It was a little windy but a real nice day to try it. Here is a picture on the lake as the sun was starting to set behind me.

well id sayyour in for a long trip north, shawano lake had 2 fellas go through sunday or monday, and its gonna be 40's and above the rest of the week, not much ice-makin goin on there, but near pelican lake there was 7" of decent ice as of 12/26-27, havent been up since then, id say your best bet would be callin up some bait shops near some lakes you might wanna try. good luck, let us know what you decide.

All we had is gone because of the 40's temps and the wind. Driving me crazy.
