Well my ol' shanty is pretty tough shape. So I thought I would check out one of these factory built shacks. Like a 5 Star or Ice Castle. OMG They want 6-12 grand for one of these. So I thought I would build me a new one. $2200 just for the frame. I think Ill have to start out from scratch. I know I can build one heck of a fish house for under 5 large.

Just get a little mobile one. You can't catch fish out of the big ice castles anyway. Would you just anchor somewhere on a lake and sit there all summer!

I'd build my own, add in a wood stove maybe paint it and done. Also saves you atleast $5000.
