Default oh no! A new house going up

Well it finally happened. The lot next to our place sold last year, nothing happened until yesterday. They have been out their cutting down trees and getting ready to get a house up this spring. It is about 5 acres of dense woods, that the deer loved to escape to. The deer would cross our land to get to it. Don’t think I am going to be able to hunt my land anymore., just don’t think the deer will come by as much. Now I am going to have to look at a house and deal with people. It is scary to try to think about what kind of people I may end up with.

Not so fast. The deer will still use the land. The house is just creating a funnel. Count on it. Have had the same thing hear and it has worked out just as I said. Look for them at last light. Worst case is a total leveling of the area and it turns into a school or something. This is not all bad news.

Keep your chin up.

Yes I agree use that house as part of your game plan. The deers patterns may change slightly so keep an eye on them. This could work out for the better. Good luck!

put a feeder up and see if that will help continue to draw them into the area (if your state allows feeders).

Why didn't you buy it? Land is a great investment and you could have kept hunting it.

oh contrair mon frair (sp?) I had the same thing happen, and heres a satelite pic of it.

OK you can see the house in the middle, and my land is on the right and i have permission on the left. Now all the deer comming from the bottom of the screen funnel to the left side making it easier for me to pattern them
