Up here if it is an inboard fuel tank we use stabil in the fuel tank,
and fog the carb.

A friend of mine in his eighties had a seventy horse motor with
oil injection and lost the middle cylinder three times. The first
time he had to pay for half the cost to a new block. The other
two times he had to pay all. The last time he had them take the
oil injection out and started mixing the fuel for it. No more
problems with now. So I am not sure how great these warranties
are.
i really dont like oil injection yea sure it better for the environment but its a seriously unreliable system.

i had to do this on a truck once, guy said he wouldn't do warranty work on my truck since i had bought it at another dealership, Keith

Thanks MT..I have one more Nissan dealer about 35 miles away in Lake Wales. He said word for word what you just did.Since I didn't buy it there he won't work on it either. I went through the Net the other day. I can't find the main Nissan Outboard site. All of the sites are dealership. I'm just glad it's running fine and it wasn't more than 1000 dollars. I've rebuilt 3 small engines before my friend but never an outboard, { They were all Briggs and Strattons} simple motors. It;s a 4 stroke so shouldn't be too hard to work on. I do plan to baby this engine and do all the maintenance updates. So far it purrs.

Also ..thanks Phil from Maine for your encouraging reply. have a great day. I will continue to research Keith and yes I do keep reciepts and records. The fellow didn't refuse to work on my motor..He just acted like he hated my guts. When he was selling th emotor he acted like we were buds. A seroius lesson learned that's all. I wasn't taught how to rebuild engines. I simply read a Briggs book cover to cover twice. I have a lawn business and the shops were too long getting my mowers back ot me. I plan to do th esame with the boat motors. Get a good book and read.

chuck get a contact here and tell them what is going on, ole joe may get to work on it more than he wants, or have the line of motors taken away, seen a boat dealership lose a line of boats over a 118$ part, it is still supposed to be about customer satisfaction

Thanks Keith and Desert Wolf.
I contacted them Keith and I will save the site. You are awesome man. I found a way yesterday to get the boat to go 5 MPH faster. I have my son sit at the bow. With my weight and engine fully adjusted she rolls pretty darn good. IF we hit somethign he would certainly be thrown from the boat.

PS I love Cabelas...but too far away. They are great to deal with.
