I had no idea what those boats cost brand new. I bought mine used. They aren't cheap but I like mine very much. I got mine cheap back in the 80s. for 100.00 Really stable for a jon boat. 14 foot is a real nice size. I'd like to find one.

when I visit my family near Lake Charles, LA. My good friend and I will go out and fish for reds Ive never used fish parts or shrimp to catch them. we always fished for them with spoons, jigs and soft jerk baits. We use alot of bass type tactics to catch them we'd also catch some nice speckled trout too along with the reds. those speckled trout are some mighty fine eating, i dont know if you get them that far east over there in florida water.

HDW, I have caught 100's of Specks in my life time. I use a Mirrow Lure M52-11 or a MR. Champ Spoon. Last time I wentwith my father in-law, we caught 30 nice one's.

Red's we used Blue Shedder Crab. Back in the 70's, my partner and I caught 20 at the Fort Desoto Pier in St.Petersburg,FL..The camera man from Channel 8 was there that day and we made the 6:00 news that night.
