Default question on plastics

I had very good luck this morning with some 5' zoom worms texas-rigged.First time really using them from a boat. Caught 2 over 15 inches and 5-8 that were smaller....but I did miss alot of fish. Most that I caught were on the fall, I know thatits normal to catch more on the fall but I just did not feel confident with my retrieve once it had completely sank. I think maybe I was goin a little fast but im not sure. Approximately how high do you lift your rod/ worm off the bottom?

try to imagine what your worm is doing on the bottom. I am starting to fish with tubes alot for smallmouth and i still dont think my retrieve is the best, but i know the more practice i have at it the better i will get and the same with you......just keep practicing!!

hey kyle. i kinda think you answered your own question, a plastic worm/lizard/bait can be fished just about any way you want, the next time your getting them on the initial fall, on your consecitive movements, rip the bait up and let it fall on slack line, like everyone else has mentioned, you can drag them across the bottom, pick em up a few inches, or even a few feet, the fish will have to tell you what will trigger a strike, also if not gettin bit, like chuck mentioned slow down,

I fish from 10:00 till 11:30
man i'd fish it all day if i's gettin bit
