Can't download bass pics
#1
Can anyone come up with an easy way to download fish pics? I have an Olympus digi and can download pics to my puter. The HNI site limits to 100 K and most of my pics are 350k. Is there a way to drop down the pics to an acceptable level or do I have tolower the resolution of the pics via the camera when I take them? I access the pics by Jasc Paint Shop. I am not really fluent on computer stuff so the answer needs to be easy.

Try the HELP topic or the Technical Help forum. I have never posted pics so am not familiar with the process. I would assume your pic would have to be in a jpeg format AND file/pic size restrictions.

I was in the same boat as you fellow. Do you have a scanner? There is a few ways to do this. The scanner is very easy and I am not good on the computer either. I can post one on the net now in less than a minute with a scanner.
I also have a digital. With that you set your camera on the lowest setting. Most of the time your picture will be postable automatic.
God bless,
Chuck

Thanks Chuck I will give that a try. My wife has a combo scanner, copier, fax machine but I don't even go near it. I'll try setting the camera on a lower setting.

Yes...normally when you set the scanner on the lowest setting { After you have scaned the picture} That picture is able to be posted. Even a dummy like me can do it now.
If you are stll having trouble let me know and I will write each step out . I don't mind.

Thanks Chuck. I started to fool around with my software and was able to crop the 350K pics down to under 100K so I could load on the site. Isent 3 pics on the small mouth post board. None are monsters but they are good average smallies for this lake. All the new pics I take I will turn down the resolution so it shouldn't be a problem.

Something else my wife figured out. If you have a digital you can set that camera to also take low setting pictures. I take the digital fishing as well.
Anyway, glad you got r done.

PS Real nice looking fish.
