I have a winchester pump action I like shooting. I can usualy reload it fast and Ive never had a jam in it. But I would like a semi auto or maybe a bolt.

Jr,
I have
Browning semi 22lr
Springfield semi 22lr
Marlin semi-auto {carbine} 22lr
Marlin bolt 22lr
Winchester lever 22mag
I always go for the lever, I think it's more fun to shoot.
I like the Marlin Bolt for the little tree critters
and it's safer when teaching kids.

I have an old Remington pump that when you hold the trigger
all you have to do is pump them out as quick as you can.
I suspect a worn sear.

I have the Marlin bolt action model 882, this gun is stainless with a black syntetic stock. Carry 7 in the magazine and is very accurate.
I scoped it using tunnel mounts because even with high mounts the bolt was touching the scope.

My most liked 22 Win. mag. rifle that i own is a Remington 597M. To date it has NOT failed to feed fire or function in any way. I had it for several years now.

It quite accurate too, and i use it to eliminate pest around my farm.

22LR: I've had a couple Ruger 10/22's (Deluxe, and std. carbine models), a Marlin 39M lever action carbine, a Remington 572 pump, and a Ruger 77/22 bolt action. They were all pretty good shooters. My current 22LR is a Ruger 10/22 semi-auto with the Mannlicher stock. When it comes to a 22LR, plinking is my favorite past-time, and the gun is very accurate, and fun to shoot. Inexpensive too! The semi-auto is just more fun for a 22LR.

22Mag.: I've had Winchester 9422 lever, and Mossberg 640K bolt action. Both VERY accurate, and fun to shoot too. Current gun is a Ruger 77/22 with grey stainless target barrel, and laminated stk. Without doubt, this is the most accurate 22mag. I've owned, and that makes it a lot of fun to shoot! Crows don't like it either

If you can find one get a HK Model 300.They were a semi auto in 22 mag. They are nail drivers.Unfortunately these haven't been import in some years. In turn are bringing premium prices.Another fine BA 22mag is the Savage Anschultz Model 164M. Like mentioned both of these are fairly expensive rifles.Plus finding them might not be the easiest.

For a easy to find rifle I would go with the Ruger M77/22. Great little rifles. In a pump gun the Remington Model 572.I'm not much on Lever Actions. Though I would take the Marlin L.A. over a Winchester 94/22M.
