Default benelli nova question?

i am thinking about buying a barely shot benelli nova 12 ga. fron my cousin for turkey hunting instead of putting camo tape on my browning gold . any opinions of the benelli nova?

never handled one, but this is what I hear:

Industructable (always a plus)
Love 'em or Hate 'em (haters usually cite the aesthetic aspects)
Light (unless you're a recoil god, a negative)

Great gun for the money..especially if its priced used. I'd look for a way to add weight...then again I've never seen the logic of buying a pump specifically for turkey.

I love my nova, but if you plan on shooting 3 1/2 in turkey loads you MUST buy the recoil reducer and bracket or know a good chiropracter. It kicks like a mule, but the extra range and pellet count of the 3.5 is worth it. I took a hen at 60 yds with the factory full choke.

An excellent gun.

And it is indistructable.

I love my nova. I shoot turkeys, geese, ducks, pheasants, crows, and many other critters. I shoot the heavy shot in 3.5 and I have shot 3.5 turkey loads. You DO NOT NEED THE REDUCER. Yeah it kicks but who feels that shot when you shoot a turkey or goose. Now patterning your shot for turkey is a different story. Will it kill you, NO, sting for a few minutes, maybe, HURT, only if your a wuss.

Great gun I own one and my Gold Hunter sits in the gun cabinet all season. Best shotgun I have owned.

I've got one - shot it once. The foreend rattle on these things drives me crazy.

I have got one and love it. I don't think you will ever regret getting it. is the one he has in the camo finish, I wish I had gotten the camo finish, course it is just a good reason to buy another gun

The nova is a GREAT all around gun, i put over 300 hunting rounds through mine a year and keeps on a tickin, best pump out there unless you want a "pretty" one
