I love my nova. I shoot turkeys, geese, ducks, pheasants, crows, and many other critters. I shoot the heavy shot in 3.5 and I have shot 3.5 turkey loads. You DO NOT NEED THE REDUCER. Yeah it kicks but who feels that shot when you shoot a turkey or goose. Now patterning your shot for turkey is a different story. Will it kill you, NO, sting for a few minutes, maybe, HURT, only if your a wuss.

Great gun I own one and my Gold Hunter sits in the gun cabinet all season. Best shotgun I have owned.
