I have an A-Bolt Stainless Stalker that was produced in 2004. It has Miroku stamped on the barrel. Sorry for the low lighting in the pic. Its too cold to go outside & take it.

Thats' because people still get Miroku and Howa confused. I don't know how difficult it is to comprehend that they are 2 separate companies.

I used to spend alot of time over there for NTT. And I have to admit, I kinda lumped the whole country into a group before knowing the people. But when you are in the culture, you find out, they are alot like us (but anxiety mess), with some companies being great, and some crap.

oeh what are you saying? Are you saying that Howa builds the guns while Miroku doesnt? You can get on Miroku's website and they clearly state their business which does not include gunmaking. Howa's website proudly features their gunmaking division. Yet as anyone with an Abolt can vouch, Miroku is clearly stamped on the barrel.

Clear as mud?

Does this include your one of a kind 60 degree throw howa? You clearly havn't spent any time in the land of the rising sun. Multitasking companies are the norm.

Changing the subject a little, has anyone tried or bought the Weatherby Vanguard Sub-MOA? From their website, I got the impression that they just pulled the best shooters out of the regular Vanguards and are trying to charge more for them. Am I mistaken? Are they worth it?

Howa builds Howas and Weatherby Vanguards and their MK V'ss and S&W's for years that is what I am saying.
Miroku probably builds Brownings for all I know and care.

BC hopefully your not asking me this question I don't know about anyone else but my Vanguard clearly has a 90degree bolt throw.

My Regular POS vanguard in 300 wsm does sub .99 and it doesn't have the fancy floorplate or stock. I wish it had the stock though but for 375 bucks I can't have everything. If the gun retails in the 600 dollar range and shoots like my 375 dollar gun it is well worth it and a darn good value.
