I'm looking for muzzle blast protection when hunting Deer, Waterfowl, and Turkey. My primary concern is comfort, effectiveness, and its weather resistance (i.e. rain). I would appreciate any input you may experienced or heard regarding the Walker's Game Ear Power Muffs.
Thanks you and good hunting!!!

I dont have the quad's, but I do have the regular power muffs. I just got them for Christmas and have not hunted with them yet (I will next week). I did wear them at the range last weekend and I liked the results. They amplified sounds pretty well so I think they will let me hear deer approaching a little sooner. I was wearing them over the top of 2 hats that covered my ears as I would be hunting in cold weather, and had no problem with feedback (unlike the regular game- ear). One of the guns I fired was a S&W 640 .357 mag with about a 2-2.5 in barrel, which is a loud gun. With the volume turned most the way up I fired the gun and the muffs did a great job blocking the loud bang, but afterwards I could hear the shot carry off into the distance. <-- A little hard to explain, I guess its just that they are different then wearing regular muffs because I can hear things I dont normally hear when shooting. Overall I am happy with them, I dont know yet how long batteries might last in them yet. Forgot to add that it was fairly windy the day I was out and did not have problems with wind noise the way I did with the standard game-ear.
Hope this helps...Jeff
