Rifle - My Ruger No.1 Single Shot .270. Best feeling gun I have ever had. or My Dad's Ruger No.1 Varmit 22-250 (Stolen, but I could just about drive nails with this gun, and my dad could.)
Shotgun - Browning BSS 20ga w/ barrel selector. Purchased for me when I was seven and was the only shotgun I ever used until we had to start using steel shot at waterfoul. I still have not found a 12ga. that compares to this one, but I am currently looking.
Pistol - Browning Hi-Power 9mm - It just feels right!

My favorite centerfire rifle: Marlin 336SC, in .32 Winchester Special. Favorite Muzzleloader, Thompson Center White Mountain Carbine, in .54 caliber, .50 is a close second. Favorite Handgun, Ruger Super Blackhawk, in .44 Special/Magnum. Of coarse, all of this is subject to change (and usually does) as I add to my collection!

I'll say it again. Sako L691 in 300 WBY with a 4.5-14X Leupold Vari X III. Will print .25 " 3 shot groups, center to center, at 100 yards. Sighted in about 2.5" high at 100 and at 300 I don't have to hold over (shot a deer at 297 yds last year dead on). Gets a lot of attention at the range (positive and negative).

My deer gun is a Browning Safari in 30-06. Beautiful gun and a real "thumper" on the deer.
But when it comes to "Love Affair", I've got to say it' my Marlin 1897 Century Limited 22LR. Eye sight went to heck so she now wears a Burris Compact 4-12x32 w/AO & target knobs (need to take some new Pics). This is just such a "fun" gun to shoot and it's an absolute pleasure to hunt with.

Well depending on how you look at it, I have another "LOVE" in my safe now since posting earlier on this topic. My step-father is gravely ill (cancer) and a couple of weeks ago he decided to hand down his guns too all us boys and grandsons. He had quite an extensive collection and I ended up with 8 of various make. But perhaps his most beloved big game rifle was his elk rifle, a Weatherby Mark V Custom Deluxe 26" 300 Wby Mag with a 3x9x40AO VariX IIe atop it. He loved the rifle but seldom shot it because he only elk hunted a few times with it and didn't like the recoil. The gun is nearly 25 years old but looks like it is only a couple of years old. In fact I had it out the other day in my brothers store and a customer asked how much we wanted for it. He thought it was brand new and I don't think he honestly believed me when I told him of its age. (And NO its NOT for sale for NO amount!)
He likewise left my sons a BLR 22 Grade II that was still in the box with cosmolene on it. I cleaned it up, stuck a 2x7x33 VX1 atop it and am looking forward too my sons learning how to shoot with it!
He also left me a Benelli M90 Super Montefeltro. It likewise is spotless and is lefthanded (as was the Weatherby and several others he left me as I shoot LH also). The Montefeltro is an amazing wing gun if you ask me. I didn't even realize he had it. I can't wait to try it on doves this fall!
I guess when you get down too it, guns for the most part are objects of make and simple pieces of steel and wood. Its what they represent and the times shared that make them special!
