HS Precision rifles - opinions?
#2
I have never used one because of the price so I can't comment on their performance or feel. I can tell you though that they make the entire gun in their own shop. They do not contract with any one to make anything on the rifles. They make their own receivers, bolts, barrels, and stocks and all the parts in them. IMO that's awesome. They can keep much beter track of quality control that way.
If I had the money for one I wouldn't hesitate to buy one or their rifles.

For the money I don't think you can do better.
I have been hunting with .300win mag pro hunter for 6 years.
Very accurate, great trigger.
They come with a 1/2" group guarantee and mine will do that with several hunting loads.
Their customer service is great also.

I have a friend with one in a 7mag and he absolutely loves it ! He played with a couple of loads and has some Federal factory loads cutting holes at 100 yrds ! I have shot it a little and it's very nice and the trigger does feel awesome ! I may buy one eventually !!

Out of all the semi-custom rifles out there it probably uses the best material with exception of that stock...Action is made of 17-4 SS alloy which is absolutely top notch and their cut rifle barrels are also top notch and the price they charge is very reasonable compared to other sem-custom rifles... I just don't like HS precision stocks

I would love to have one of their rifles, and they seem to have the best price for a full custom rifle. Not sure about paying 100.00 for rings, but....
Anyway, what is it you don't like about the stock? Even other custom makers use their stocks, along with McMillan stocks.

Danny , I don't like the feel, wieght and balance of them and to be honest I am not crazy about Mcmillan stocks either except the specially contracted ones they sell to custom gunsmiths. If you ever have a chance pickup a gun that has a Rimrock stock on it and you'll know what I mean.
