Default Slug Gun Choice

For the first time in my life I' m hunting this year in a shotgun only zone. I' m using a borrowed gun this season so I' m covered. After the season though I want to get my own slug gun and put a scope on it. I hunt in lower Michigan so most of my shots will be at most 150 yards with the vast majority of those being less then 100. My question is which models do people prefer for this type of hunting and why? Thanks.

just got an H&R ultra slug gun. The 12 ga is almost 9lbs so If you want a lighter gun go with the 20 ga youth model. I' ve put 3 inch groups at a 100yds. It comes with a scope mount. This gun just doesnt take down deer , it knocks them over.
Its a single shot , but if your good you only need one.

My hunting partner has a 870 with the cantilever mount on barrel and syn stock and it shoots great I got a 1300 black shadow winchester with the rifled barrel and a 2x scope on it. I actually bought this pretty cheap at walmart. what can I say it shoots good and if you get it at walmart your wife thinks you are a smart shopper.

My setup is a Remington 870 express mag with a improved choke. I have Nikon Buckmasters 4x scope on it w/ a saddle mount, and it is deadly when I feed it the slug, 000 buckshot, slug combo. Deer do not escape from this under 100 yards.

So why doesn' t Tar Hunt' s website have any other information about the gun? All I can find is a catalog selling slugs, but no slug guns. What do they look like, what are their specifications? Very interested.

remington 870 with fully rifled barrel. Use the new remington Premier Core-Lokt Ultra Bonded Sabot Slugs. I sighted mine in at a 150 yard dead center.
