I am new to muzzleloading. I want to order an extra Quick Release Breech Plug (QRBP) for my CVA® ACCURA® V2 MR Mountain Rifle with Bergara Nitride/Stainless Steel barrel muzzleloader. Can't get a email response from CVA which QRBP I need to order. The QRBP the muzzleloader came with apprears to be Nitrate coated as well. Looking at CVA's website the QRBP's listed, it would appear I need to order the Blackhorn Breechplug for Nitride barrel. Any help would be appreciated.

Have you tried calling CVA. Ive never had a problem getting them on the phone.
BTW the nitride breach plug is probably just cosmetic. Only the barrel has the nitride treatment according to everything ive been told.

I think you have a fine firearm, if I were to buy another black powder rifle that would be my choice.
As GM suggested, a call may be the way to go. I have always found them helpful. The CVA Customer Service number is 770-449-4687.

Not nitride, its some sort of coating. They tried to to the nitride on the plug but it made it to brittle.
