I don't have the cal but I have a rem mountain rifle and model seven in 7mm/08. I love that round. They both shoot less in 1" groups at 100 yards with factory rem 140grain corelocks. The model seven has a 18" barrel and the mountain rifle has a 22" barrel. I think the cal has a 24" barrel.

I've had a 700 CDL in 7-08 for quite a few years now. It shot excellent right out of the box. I've never had to touch the bedding or free-float the barrel. I have found that mine loves a healthy dose of IMR 4350 and 140 gr. Nosler Ballistic tips or Accubonds. Shoots either to exactly the same POI. 120 gr, Ballistic tips shoot great in it also. Hope you are as happy with yours as I have been with mine...

Well I fired 3 rounds through it today at 50 yards... 3 shots prob around 1" or less... I was not overly impressed but I think that I need to try other ammo before I jump to conclusions lol...
Plus not sure if it fact or not but I've heard that the more you shoot a gun the better it will shoot... Hope so...

Both of mine shot the rem 140 about 1" or less at 100 yards. Never tired and other ammo in them. My cousin uses 139 Honady sst in his and they shoot pretty good. My dad's friend use 139 bolsters in his sons model seven he seems to like them. A good friend loads 140 Barnes in his grandsons I like it is a cdl, he killed 5 or 6 Africa plains game with it last year.
