I've had a 700 CDL in 7-08 for quite a few years now. It shot excellent right out of the box. I've never had to touch the bedding or free-float the barrel. I have found that mine loves a healthy dose of IMR 4350 and 140 gr. Nosler Ballistic tips or Accubonds. Shoots either to exactly the same POI. 120 gr, Ballistic tips shoot great in it also.
