Really wanting a new rifle. Was going to get a Winchester M70 in 270WSM. But got to eyeing the nice piece of lumber on the kimbers. Figure its a Winchester type action that has already been smithed, free floated barrel, glass bedded, and supposed to be a top notch quality barrel and stock.
Problem is never seen anyone shoot one. Not really interested in hearing about the 22' s. Mainly the 8400.

I almost sprang for a 84m at a gunshow in 7-08 reaching for the wallet and noticed the poor inletting job on the floorplate and then worked the action and it was not exactly smooth at all...Hmmm I' ll let Kimber take the flies out first before I buy it...

Had a pair until about 2 weeks ago, one in 308, the other in 7mm-08. At first I thought they were the berries. At the range, both of them locked up....with factory loads! I heard of tight chambers, but this is ridiculous.
Contact with Kimber was never made as they simply do not respond to email or phone calls.
Got tired of it and traded em both for Browning autos
