I have a soft spot in my heart for Ithaca since, a model 37 was the first long gun I fired. That being said, if I were buying a slug gun today, it would propbably be a Savage 212; maybe a 220. As I just said in another post, i have used the 210F since the 90s and love the thing. Other than a heavy trigger pull which, I had corrected, I can see no reason to consider anything else.
I have killed many, many deer with it from 20 to 150+ Yards. Mostly, they dropped with a few yards. Tracking has not been an issue.

I love my Ithacas.. I live 20 miles from the original factory ... in Ithaca and have had the pleasure of going through both factorys here in ny . was a sad day when they closed.Nice to see they are being made in Ohio now.700 for a used one is pretty pricey .I think they were going for around 600 new around here. That said .... they are deer killing machines .... kick like a frigging mule... I would buy the savage .
