Default RE: TC ENCORE AND HEAVY SHOT CHOKE

The Encore is a fine versatile gun no doubt. It is nice to be able to switch from shotgun, to rifle, to black powder with the change of a barrel. However having said all that I still don' t own one.

Even though I own a Beretta and a Benelli I have killed more turkeys with my cheap New England Firearms Pardner than the other two put together. It is actually to light for my taste so I put some lead in the stock to try and keep the punishment from the three inch turkey loads to a minimum. I like it because not only is it reliable, I don' t worry about getting it scratched up or marred.

Default RE: TC ENCORE AND HEAVY SHOT CHOKE

Wow, that would be scarey! The Pardner I own has fixed choke not the screw in type. I don' t know what the constriction is on the barrel so I won' t use Hevi-shot in it until I am sure of the measurements.

I know of the enhanced performance of the Hevi-shot and it is awesome stuff. I just have to much of the 2 oz 5 shot Federals laying around to use anything else. I got a real bargain on this stuff so I bought a bunch of it. The name of the game is to get them in close anyway and the gun likes the ammo so I guess I will use up what I have before I make any switch.
