Why would you favor the 3" over the 2-3/4"? That and what happened with the Hornady? Just curious, not dissing?

That is what Savage recommended. I tried them and they worked well. Just didnt spend the money to try the 2 3/4. I dont know what happened with the Hornady. They were all over the place never hit close to the same place twice.

I see. Was just nosey more than any thing else. Ammo for later discussion. Do you plan on trying the 2-3/4" just to see what happens?

I am just going to stick with the 3 inch. I was hitting a 5 inch circle at 200 yards off a bench everytime with the 3inchers I dont think I can get better than that.

So beside a 1/4 what is the Diff. between the 2 3/4 and 3 inch. Advantages and disadvantages or good and bad?
