RE: Which rifle in .338 Win Mag
I personally would avoid the A-bolt in 338win mag, because the A-bolts seem to pass on more felt recoil to the shooter than many other rifles.I would look for a medium to heavier weight rifle for this cartridge. My choice would be a Sako 75,or 85.

RE: Which rifle in .338 Win Mag
I own a left-handed Browning A-bolt stainless stalker in 7mm mag and .338 win mag.. awesome rifle.. why did I buy them??...A gun shoppe was closing it's doors and no one seemed interested in these two lefthanded rifles...until I walked in and walked out with both.. I don't even want to tell you what I paid for them because it's almost criminal..both are extremely accurate and since I broke in both barrels correctly are easy to clean and neither coppers at all.. I use Barnes X-bullets in both and everything I shot with either was DOA... the .338 is not for the faint of heart, you will know it when it goes off and you'll feel it as well... I would not want to be on the recieving end of that cartridge !! If I had it to do over again, I'd buy the Stainless Stalkers again..like the clip and the short bolt throw...
