Default Carl Gustaf 7mm Info

I received a HVA Carl Gustaf Custom rifle about 15 years back and was looking for some info on it. Anyone familiar with the make? I believe Husquavarna made them at one time because of the HVA name. I' m not thinking of selling it but was wondering if anyone knew what these things were worth. I' ve never seen another except at a gun show about 10 years back. It has no sights and beautiful wood with silver engraving under the magazine. Little help....Thx. JDinAB

HVA IS Husquvarna. Carl Gustoff is a factory that, besides the HVA, at one time (may still be) was one of the manufacturers of Swedish military arms. All very high quality, particularly nice are the Husquvarna M98-type sporters!! Don' t know what yours' is worth, but the HVA in excellent condition is a prized possession these days!! Is this one a 7X57mm??

No it' s a 7mm Rem mag. It doesn' t have any model number anywhere on it. It only has a stamp that says " NITRO" . I don' t know what it stands for but it' s been a great gun and it' s real pretty too. Thanks for the info eldeguello

" NITRO" means it was proof-tested with smokeless powder ammunition (which of course, all modern rifles are.) This may be a British or Canadian proof-mark, since weapons improted from outside the British Commonwealth had to be reproofed, no matter what kind of proof test they had undergone previously!!
