I guess I should be dead ten times over. I've carried a lead bullet in my body for over 40 years.

Junk science is thriving. I should have gotten my degree in it.

Swampcollie is right on as to waterfowl and their gizzereds. Earlier posts were on human cosumption and or other mamals.

I have been tested for lead and other contaminates due to my job and never have had any test postive. I have eaten lead shot in game and yes swollowed lead BB sinkers throught the years and no issuses. Now my brother who was a flied superviser for a very large paint contractor company has had lead posisoning due to exposer with paint/paint applications.
P S its anyones guess how much lead wheel weights are linning the sides of your public roads and hwys.

Just remove the lead before grinding the meat into sausages. Simple enough?

One would have to wonder just how the human race survived the period between flint arrows and grocery stores, killing game with all manor of lead projectiles...shouldn't we all be poisoned by now?

Seems quite amazing too then, that predators have flourished over the past few centuries with all the tons oflead bullets scattered all over our forests and prairies that us bad hunters have just left there for them to accidentally ingest.

Horse Crap...just like Cow Farts,Global Warming, and the Oprah Diet.

If this is indeed a serious problem, then I need to get hopping!

I need a pine box , a plot, some diggers, 3-left handed friends and 3 right handed ones too ... and a preacher. As much wild game that I have eaten in 50+ years - squirrel, rabbit, raccoon, nutria, white tail, duck, goose, possum, elk, moose, pronghorn, black bear, mule deer, dove, quail, pheasant, and last but not least bull frog legs (22 rimfire) ... well I am a "lead man" walking I guess.

What a crock of BS !!!
