Default Benelli M2 Question

I just got a new Benelli M2 semi-auto shotgun. The specs say that the magazine holds 3 shells. I can only get 2 in. The third just doesn't make it in by 1/2 inch. Is there some type of factory plug in the magazine? The manual does not say anything about it.

The three shells includes the one in the chamber. Waterfowl hunting regs require a plug to keep the total number of shots to three. I believe you can remove the plug if you want. The instructions should be in the owners manual. I have never removed the plug in my M1.

Thanks maineac: There is a factory installed limiter plug in the magazine. The manual was not very clear on that item.
