I'm having a 'smith restore my old 1970 24F 22 mag over 20 gauge. Will give thata whirl for a while; maybe I won't need to move up to the heavier version.

I am looking for a Savage 24F. 223/12ga. I had one that I gave to my son and I thought it was a good all around gun. It was a great critter gun.
