Pistol Hunters

RE: Pistol Hunters
S&W 6296" 44Mag w/ red dot or open sights.
Might go with a 2x scope in the future, but it usually just backs up the slug shotgun for close shots, so I keep the optics minimal.

I carry a Ruger 4 5/8 Vaquero .357 with 180gr cast loads. It has the typical single post front sight, no rear sights on it just the little channel but I am very confident to 50 yards with it. So it gets choice at close range over my Marlin.

RE: Pistol Hunters
I used to use (and still own) a redhawk in .44 mag with a 2x scope.
Although I killed a few deer and hogs with it I could never reach the level of accuracy with it I was after so I now use a Savage Striker in .308 topped with a burris 2x7 scope. I LOVE this gun.
I know this is more of a hand rifle than a pistol, but I owed it to my quarry to use something I could shoot accurately on a consistant basis. So far it has 2 bucks to its name and looking for more .
