It will do a excellent job as long as you do your part. Buy a few different brands of slugs to see which kind your gun shoots the best, then practice.

I shoot hornady sst ml's in my muzzle loader and they shoot sweet,and I see there making the sst hornady in slugs now to.

Mine loves the Rem CoreLokts and Winchester Sumpremes, both at 1,900 fps.
