The local gun shop is sellin a Rossi .223 single shot with a heavy barrel and a 60x power scope. Seemed to be a pretty sweet set up for the price-$300. Wasnt sure of the quality of a Rossi, figured yall could help. Thanks

RE: .223 Rossi
I have a couple of Rossi/Braztech matched pair setups. One is in the 243/20 gauge, and the other is 223/12 gauge variety. Both combos are reasonably well built and shoot pretty well with a descent scope on it. That one with the heavy barrel should do even better, especially if the scope is of descent quality. If it doesnt have it already and you purchase the rifle, make sure to get the thumb trigger extension so that you can reach it more comforatably.

RE: .223 Rossi
What kind of scope is it? I got a Rossi Just like that witha 6-24 Power scope in it for $125 and D*ick's last year. Mine shoots well. I was having a problem with the base mounts loosening up but some good glue solved that problem. I also changed the scope and mounts on mine. The scope it came with worked good but i just like to know my scope is going to last and i get a set of mounts when i get a new scope free from my gun shop.
