TC 20GA. SLUG BARREL
Yes I just got a 20ga. shotgun barrel for my tc pro. Does anyone have any info about the 20ga. Is it as good as a 12ga. slug on like a 1187 does anyone know how accurate is the 20ga. slug barrel I heard the 20ga. is a better slug gun than the 12ga. THANKS FOR YOUR TIME

With the latest generation of sabot shotgun slugs, the 20 gauge is ALMOST as good as the 12 gauge. You can compare ballistics all day,but the 12 gauge has proven track record that the 20 gauge still has to prove itself(at least to me). Bottom line is buy the BEST,most accurate sabot slugs, sight in perfectly, and you won't have any problems within reccomended range regardless of which gauge you choose.

The newer 20 ga offerings are about the same as a magnum inline muzzle loader, which is plenty effective on deer. They shoot pretty much the same bullets and similar velocities, you just don't need to hand load them from the front or spend a bunch of time cleaning after you shoot them.
If you were talking about smooth bore with rifled slugs I would say the 12 ga is the way to go. However when talking modern sabots I would pick a 20 ga over a 12 ga right now.
