I've gotten outstanding a accuracy out of the Federal Premium with a 150 grain Nosler ballsitic tip. It's shoots just a hair better than the Federal Premium with the 165 grain Sierra BTSP.

Thank you all for your responses. I will hopefully make it to the range this week to start narrowing down my choices and I am well aware that my gun will have it's favorite; however, I'm also well aware of my pocket book.

A big part of my dilema has been the pricing on some of the "premium" bullets; however, I found the Hornady 150grain SST for $22 a box and the Federal Premium 165 grain MatchBTHP for $20 a box. I believe these are both good quality bullets and those prices are much cheaper than some of the others.

Anybody have any experiences or opinions with using either of these bullets on Whitetail deer, hogs, etc???

I've used Remington 165 gr. AccuTips on both deer and elk. They are extremely accurate at the range and perform well on deer and elk ( I shot one elk at 300 yards).

Don't forget to include this load in your testing. It's a great load.

By the way that is a great price on the Hornady.
