Got a new savage low profile varmit last week but just got to shoot it a little this morning.Believe it is going to do ok.
Found out it likes the H380 and the nosler 55 gr BT so far.Going to try some match bullets and other powders next.
Really like the laminated stock on it.

Thanks will give them a try, want to try some 4064 and H414 also with the 55 gr weight.Have you tried any heavier bullets I want to try some 60 grs and 69 gr too.
Have a savage 10fp in 223 and it shoots the R-15 and the 69 sierras really well.
I had trouble with the scope this morning I have a burris signature 6.5 x 20on it and useing lepould mounts and rings but at 100 yds I topped out on my up and down clicks, think the mounts are wrong,it says you can switch the back one around but if I turn it around the bolt won't open, going to get some different mounts anyhow.
Thanks again

The 55s are the heaviest that I have shot. I have a .223 in the same model as my 22-250 and am going to try some 50 grainers out of it this weekend. I have only been shooting 40 Gr HPs but thought I would give these 50s a try.
