RE: Help me Pick out a new Shotgun
I bought a Benneli nova in black ,for $279.00 a couple months ago and the camo model runs $329.00 ,that is the everyday price of one here . Guns seem be quite a bit higher where your at Deerslayer . I just bought it to use steel shot in for waterfowl . I still prefer a remington shotgun over it myself .

Hmmmm, You may be right Halcon. The local gun dealers around here sell the camo Nova pump for $479.00 plus tax. A buddy bought one last year in West Memphis for over $500. That's why I thought I got a good deal at $345 and I guess for this area, I did.

Traditions sells a nice 12 gauge autoloader. It comes pretty cheap, too. It's the ALS1200 field model. It comes standard with 3 chokes: improved cylinder, modified and full choke. The website is www.traditionsfirearms.com. You can get it in synthetic, wood or camo. stock.

I had a nova still have it would trade it in a heart beat for a Remington 870 special purpose 3.5 in a heart beat a remigton 870 wingmaster/special purpose is a no B.S. gun that simpily can't be beat or improved on,unless they would start making it in 10 gauge

For a pump, the Nova is tought to beat.
If you like autos, and can live without 3.5" MAGNUMS, Take a look at the Stoeger 2000. I got mine for $410 after discounts (was on sale for $430) I is a recoil (mostly) operated semi auto (VERY similar to Benelli M1 and others) it comes with 5 choke tubes, and can be had in wood, or synthetic stock (with way cool Advantage timber HD camo).
As reliable as an auto gets, the internals of a Benelli (down to the choke tubes and rotary bolt action), easy to feild strip without tools (1 pin, action bar, and magazine cap) and a great price to boot.
a model 2000 with undertaker choke tube would be a great Turkey gun, as well as anything else (unless you HAVE to have the 3.5" mags for geese...I'll just use Hevi-shot)
