I wanted to show you guys my new baby. A Savage 16BSS .300 wsm. Shooting 180 gr Factory Winchester Ballistic Sivertip ammo I have shot two different 1/4'' three shot 100 yd groups from a factory accutrigger rifle out of the box!!! I have a Leupold VX II 4-12 scope on it. This is a rare Savage that you can't find on Savages website or at your LGS. It is a Weather Warrior with a factory laminated stock on it. Savage made a few for a distributor and I found this NIB on gunbroker. It is a well balanced nice lightweight rifle. This is one that I won't be trading!!

I just bought the Savage 26 inch Varmit bodel in 270 WSM. It has the Synthetic Stock and stainless flutted barrel. I have not had a chance to shoot it for grouips yet. I looked at the 300 WSM first but decided on the 270 WSM instead. Love the Accu-Trigger though.

That's a pretty rifle hardcore. I just got a 116FLSS in .30-06 and I love it. I also have a 11FL in .223 and a couuple of Savage Rimfires in 17 HMR and 22LR. All 4 are shooters.
Whatever your shooting out of that rifle to get 1/4" groups, I would buy a ton of it. See if you can get the same lot. Another lot may not shoot as well. Good luck.

Thanks Bronko; I love the gun. I've tried Federal Power shok 180 gr soft point and Winchester 180 gr power point and they both will shoot 1/2'' to 3/4'' groups. Seems to like anything I feed it. I have 6 Savages and they all shoot this good though. Must be why I have so many of them.
